Fix Call of Duty Warzone Dev Error 5759

Ever since the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare and the subsequent game Warzone, the deviation errors have been a constant struggle for users. While some errors are easier to fix, others can keep you away from the game for good. The only way you can return back to the game is by fixing the issue. If you have encountered the Call of Duty Warzone Dev Error 5759, we have some fix you can try. These fixes have worked for a lot of users as confirmed by them on forums. As most of the dev errors are quite related, you can read other error guides by following the link – 6065 & 6066, 263234 & 262146, 6068, 6178, and 6328.

The 5759 Warzone error is accompanied by the message “DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error.” As the error message indicates, the issue is related to your GPU or graphics card. Two other messages accompany the error code saying, your GPU in incompatible or does not meet the minimum specifications to play the game.

It can be frustrating to see that Activation is doing little about these dev errors, but sometimes the problem might be local and there is nothing they can do about it. While the developers search for a solution to these errors, you can try certain fixes that have been known to work for this particular error code.

The 5759 error can be fixed by updating the graphics card drivers, game, Windows, and by disabling the integrated video card. In the post, we have discussed other possible fixes for the issue. So, let’s get started with the fix.

Fix 1: Update the GPU

Both Nvidia and AMD released an update for their graphics card on 19 th March that has a hotfix for a range of Call of Duty errors. If you are still using the outdated or old driver, install the latest drivers either by directly downloading from the official website or the GeForce Experience for Nvidia users. Under most circumstances, the dev error 5759 will be fixed by updating the drivers. It’s recommended that you perform a manual install i. e. go to the manufacturer’s websites and download the latest copy and install. Once the install is complete, restart the PC to apply the changes and play the game.

Fix 2: Perform Scan and Repair

For users playing the game using the Battle. net client, you may want to use the Scan and Repair tool. This function within the application allows you to identify and fix minor bugs with the game. With any luck, the Scan and Repair will remove the 5759 error with the game. From the Home of Battle. net Launcher > click on the game Warzone from the list > click on Settings > select Scan and Repair. Let the process complete and try playing the game.

Fix 3: Roll Back the Driver

If the game was working fine on a previous date and the error started after you updated the GPU driver, try rolling back the driver. It should fix the issue with the game.

Consider Upgrading the System GPU

One of the most common reasons for dev error 5759 is your system does not meet the minimum system specifications, particularly the graphics card. If you get this error message “Your GPU driver version does not meet the minimum specification” paired with the error code, it’s worthwhile to first check the minimum and recommended system specifications for the game.

Minimum System Specifications

If your system does not meet the recommendation, upgrade the system and reinstall the game from scratch, the dev error should resolve.

Fix 4: Disable Integrated Video Card and Secondary Display

We do not know the exact reason why the second monitor causes a problem with the game but dislodging it has resolved the dev error 5759 for several users. Additionally, you may also have to disable the integrated video card on your system.

For some reason, disabling the integrated video card (usually Intel) can fix the dev error with COD Warzone. The process to accomplish this is straightforward. Follow the below steps:

Fix 5: Disable Game Optimization Software

If you are using GeForce Experience or the MSI Afterburner to optimize the game settings, it might be causing the problem. The fix is simple disable or uninstall the program to fix the error. You can do this either from the Task Manager or via services. msc.

The Windows Game Bar could also be a suspect that’s causing the issue, so it worth the try to disable it to fix Call of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone 5759 error. Here are the steps you can follow.

Once done with the above steps, try launching the game.

Fix 6: Disable Steam and Discord Overlay

Steam and Discord overlay are important features of both the software; however, in this particular situation, these functions of the programs could be causing the dev error 5759. To resolve the error, simply disable them and check if the error occurs.

Disable Steam Overlay

Disable Discord Overlay

Now launch the game and check if the error is fixed.

Fix 7: Update Windows

While having an outdated Windows is never recommended, in the past Windows update has been known to cause problems with the game. Having said that, a lot of users were able to resolve the dev error 5759 by simply updating the Windows. However, a word of warning though, it might prompt other dev errors to appear. But, if you are in a fix and game is already not responding you may want to try this solution.

Fix 8: Switch to Windows 10

If you are playing the game on Windows 7, you would want to switch to the latest version of Windows 10. Games are developed for the most recent Windows so problems on old OS can arise. Several users on Reddit and other forums have confirmed that switching to Windows 10 fixed the dev error 5759.

The COD Warzone error 5759 or any other dev error is a headache if you are caught in it. We hope the above fixes can help your case. It has for a large number of users who faced this error.

Its a shame your slacker engineering department can’t fix the errors from unnecessary GPU commands. The Intel 630 runs other games that actually look just as good as this one. Throttle back the “oh lets check and see if it can do it even though we don’t use it” stuff and you might get even more people interested.

Hi,
Out of nowhere i started experiencing extreme stuttering. Been searching the internet for solutions, and i have tried everything but none of the solutions worked. Today i got the Deverror5759 for the first time, and i had the error ” Your video memory VRAM does not meet the minimm specification for running Cod” For the first time. Then i restarted the game i no longer had a Deverror and no longer had the other error. But it is back to extreme stuttering even in the main menu, and making my game unplayable also not loading maps correctly, like not showing details, trees or buildings are just one plain color, sometimes the game crashes also.

I have an intel i5 8300H CPU @ 2.30GHz
8GB memory
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080

Could you please e-mail me at duncandenelzen@gmail. com for any help, i’am willing to pay if you can fix this for me

Have you tried disabling the Game Bar, Overlays such as Steam Overlay and Discord Overlay? Can you confirm if you have the latest GPU drivers and Windows Version 2004 or May Update?

Can you try the below steps:
1. Type Regedit in the Windows Search tab and select Run as administrator
2. Click on Files > Export. Name the backup and save it at your desired location
3. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER > System > GameConfigStore
4. From the right panel, double-click on GameDVR_Enabled
5. Set the Value data to 0, Base as Hexadecimal and click OK
6. Next, double-click on GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode
7. Set the Value data as 2 and Base as Hexadecimal and click OK
8. Go back and expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > PolicyManager > default > ApplicationManagement > AllowGameDVR
9. From the right panel, double-click on value
10. Delete 1 and set it to 0, click Ok and restart your computer.

Since it says the VRAM is insufficient, you can try the below steps:

1. Click Windows + I > System
2. In Display, locate and click on Advanced display settings
3. At the bottom of the page, click on Display adapter properties for Display 1
4. From the new window, check Total Available Graphics Memory.
Now that you know the available memory, let’s increase it from the BIOS. This is the most effective method to increase the VRAM. Here are the steps:

1. Enter BIOS by pressing F2, F5, F8 or Del key repeatedly after the restart.
2. Go to Advanced/Advanced Options (Note: The exact terminology might vary depending on your hardware manufacturer. Open the manual of the manufacturer for guidance.)
3. Now, find Video Settings, VGA Share Memory Size, Graphics Settings, or similar terms.
4. Select Pre-Allocated VRAM and change the existing value which by default will be 64M or 128M. Change it to 512M

Let me know if it helped.

Hi, I am still having a problem after following all the step. The error starts always exactly on the opening movie. So technically I have not been able to even load the game. I have an I7 intel 1065G7 with 8gb memory, and an Intel Plus G7 graphics. I don’t know if my GPU does not support this but I have seen some videos with the same GPU that are playing the game. So can you please help me with this? Thank you.

Are you playing on Windows 7 or 10? Quira a lot of users fixed the dev error 5759 by switching to Windows 10, so that’s something you want to try.

Additionally, you can also try running the game with DirectX 11. Here are the steps:

Switching back to DirectX 11 to play the game has worked for a lot of users. DirectX 11 is a more stable version, but you will have to sacrifice some features which DirectX 12 brings; however, not extreme. The recent Windows 10 2004 update has a stable version of DirectX 12. I think it’s called Ultimate DirectX 12. If you are on Windows 10, you would want to update the OS to the latest version.

Call of Duty: Warzone Dev Error 5759 | DirectX unrecoverable error

warzone what are caches call of duty

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the popular Warzone battle royale share a number of error codes. One of them is dev error 5759, in which the game says DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error. This problem prevents either game from booting, and seems to be taking Warzone players by surprise. Here’s what to do if you encounter the Warzone dev error 5759 and what you can do about it.

Warzone Dev Error 5759 | DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error

call of duty warzone dev error 5759 directx encountered unrecoverable error

The Modern Warfare and Warzone dev error 5759 gives clues about the problem alongside the error prompt: “DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error.” As this message implies, a problem was found in somewhere in the software used by your GPU. Sometimes the message continues to say things like “Your GPU driver version does not meet the minimum specification.” Other times it says your GPU is outright incompatible.

Dev error 5759 has been a nuisance since Modern Warfare first launched, and it has since carried over into Warzone. Unfortunately, the development team has yet to issue any kind of specific fix for it. However, there are a few workarounds that involve updating GPU drivers, GPU software, Windows, the game itself, or even disabling onboard video.

How to fix dev error 5759

Use the Scan and Repair tool

First things first: If you’ve encountered dev error 5759, you should try to repair the game. Through the Battle. net launcher, click on the listing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or Call of Duty: Warzone, click the Settings button, then choose Scan and Repair. With any luck, this will provide a quick fix for the problem.

Update your graphics card drivers

Assuming the Scan and Repair function does not allow you to launch the game, it’s time to start checking over your GPU and related software. The message saying DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error should lead you to your first tip: You need to update your GPU drivers.

Several users across various support forums have said that updating GPU drivers fixes dev error 5759. However, many report that the driver update must be performed manually. This process will differ depending on various graphics cards, but as a general rule, you can find the latest drivers by going to the manufacturer’s website and typing in the model of your GPU.

Download the newest drivers and install them. Afterward, restart your computer to make sure everything still works. At this point, it’s probably worth running the Scan and Repair tool once more just to be safe. If that doesn’t do it, it’s time to try something else.

Disable secondary displays and onboard video

Some users have encountered dev error 5759 and others when running Call of Duty games on systems with secondary monitors. Apparently this can cause problems, though no one is really sure why. Fortunately, the fix is simple: Unplug any secondary displays.

Alongside this, players also suggest disabling the onboard video on their computer’s motherboard. This shouldn’t be a problem for most, but it’s not exactly hard to address. Open the Windows device manager, then click the dropdown for Display adapters. If you see “Onboard” or “Integrated” listed, right click on it, then click Disable.

Update Windows

This last solution is a bit of a double-edged sword: Update your current version of Windows. While it’s generally smart to keep Windows up-to-date, having the latest version sometimes causes problems with game software. As such, updating Windows could fix dev error 5759, but it also could introduce other dev errors. With this fix, your mileage may vary.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone dev error 5759 can be a chore to fix. Since it says DirectX encountered an unrecoverable error, the issue clearly has something to do with your GPU. Unfortunately, without any sort of first-party fix, your only choice is to update all your drivers and disable secondary displays. If these fixes don’t work, you should consider opening up a ticket with Activision support.
